This treatment system was developed over the course of 20 years by Dr. John Mew, an orthodontist practicing in England. Biobloc offers a series of appliances, both fixed and removable, to address any of a number of challenges your child may experience. The overall goal of this therapy is to help the patient achieve facial balance by correcting improper oral posture and encouraging healthy jaw growth while the patient is young, rather than offering more difficult and painful procedures after they’ve grown. The treatment is generally administered in stages, first correcting the misalignments, then correcting the postures or behaviors that caused the issues in the first place.
